Have you ever had to swap out a light switch but didn’t want to pay an electrician’s fee for such a small task? Then you’ll welcome this introduction to Leviton.
Leviton creates sustainable and intelligent solutions in wiring devices, lighting management products and networking products. From switches and receptacles to daylight harvesting controls, Leviton provides smart, reliable solutions that pay off in time, energy, cost savings, and also delivers safety.
Not only can you purchase innovative and quality products on the brand new Leviton site, but they also have how-to videos that make installation a breeze. Check out this video on putting in a top grade dimmer switch from the new Renu device line from Leviton:
Pretty cool and simple, right? Leviton Renu is available in 20 popular paint colors, Renu products can blend in with the walls or contrast with the trim. Renu turns the electrical device into a decorative, easy to change accessory. When only the perfect color will do, Renu - without an Electrician!
To honor the launch of the new website, Leviton is inviting everyone to participate in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win one of three iPad2s! The contest begins today and runs through the entire month of February. Just head on over to the Leviton Facebook page to find complete contest details.
So next time you have a small electrical installation, look to Leviton instead of dialing the handyman. Maybe you can even bring up their site on your new iPad2.

- Jan 30, 2012Bless you and thank you! That is good to know about the website. I graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and never learned a thing about practical wiring! I had to read the directions the first time I put in a dimmer switch. Thank God for the internet!! I'm saving this link.
- Jan 30, 2012The only things I know about electricity are: power off when you touch wires, avoid the contact of the wires each other.
Tester is a thing I never thought before.. I know how to change a switch for a table lamp..just this, because I can see and copy from the switch to replace. My brother-in-law is an electrician, it's better than to be struck by 220 Volts. iPad2, I imagine it is only for US resident, so I don't try to click the link
my hubby is an ET , we just need a bigger home

I would be afraid to try anything with electic on my own. Especially since the place is older I would be afraid things would have to rewired and all that. This is something I will leave to a professional and stick to what I can do safely.
